Looking for something a little different in a quilt project? When we saw these wall hanging patterns, we thought they might inspire some of our adventurous quilters who want to explore line and contrast. The designer of the patterns, Carolyn Friedlander, gives suggestions as to fabric choice and says that these intermediate paper/foundation pieced patterns come with a cheat sheet and plenty of diagrams. She says "Olive Wall" let's you tackle those tricky stripes which she tones down with some peaceful solids.
Don't forget to download this month's free Patchwork Calendar pattern. Our adorable bunny block, designed by Nancy, will soon be hopping off our home page to make way for our next pattern the first weekend in May.
A great alternative to pinning! Designed with a flat base for easy feeding to the pressure foot, the Wonder Clips open wide to hold layers of fabric . The clips can be used in many craft projected but prove especially useful in working with quilt, handbags and heavy weight fabrics. Clips measure approximately 1" x 3/8" and include seam allowance marks on the reverse side. One package includes 10 clips. (Wonder Clips were one of the most request items at our Puyallup Expo booth last month.).
