Divide the width of your ruler by the size of strip you want to cut
Example: You want to cut multiple 2" strips and you are working with a 6" ruler - 6 divided by 2 = 3.
Straighten the edge of your fabric and place the 6" line of your ruler on the fabric straight edge.
Cut your first cut.
Now move the ruler to place the 4" line on the fabric straight edge.
Cut your second cut, move the ruler to place the 2" line on the fabric straight edge for your third cut.
You have now cut 3 strips at 2" and have not moved your fabric. Give it a try. It really works.
Happy quilting, Sandi
