New Michael Miller Fabric

Have you ever found a fabric that you just love so much, but can't decide what color to buy?
Well... that's what happened to Geri when she saw this new collection
by Michael Miller called Collette.
She bought it in all three colors - blue, white and pink!
It's fresh and pretty - just what we need to get through the dark rainy days of winter.
There are loads of coordinating fabrics too - so come on in and see this new collection.

And for our Monday Grab and Go coupon, we are featuring Auriful Thread.
This is just the best thread we have found.
It's fine and strong and comes in all the basic colors shown below
as well as a rainbow of other colors.
We are featuring this thread for 5 spools for $39.99.
If you were to buy them separately it would be $52.

Here's our Monday "Grab and Go" coupon.

For more fun, join us on Facebook for contests!
This month we are featuring our "first quilts."

West Linn Library Quilt Show

Visit West Linn Library for a Quilt Show featuring Judy Liebo (one of our customers!)

The West Linn Public Library will host an exhibit featuring the work of Judy Liebo during the month of January. The exhibit will run January 4–29 in the library’s Community Room which is open to the public when not in use, and always open on Sundays, noon – 5:00 p.m.

For as long as Judy Liebo can remember, she has been making things with her hands. She started off in junior high baking bread and sewing skirts. These days her focus has been on fabric manipulation, usually quilting. She feels inspired by everything from carpet patterns to sunsets.

Liebo's quilts have won prizes several times at the Northwest Quilt Expo. She enjoys the freedom of size and pattern that comes with quilting and the versatility of display options, be it on a wall or on a bed. “There is something so satisfying to my soul to finish a quilt, step back and say, 'Yes…that’s what I saw'".

The Library is located at at 1595 Burns Street, West Linn, Oregon. Here's the map.

Bloc Loc Tool

We have a new tool in stock - and it's a great one.
With the Bloc Loc tool, you can easily square up your half square triangles.

The ruler has a groove cut out of the back so it fits squarely over your seam
and the ruler doesn't wobble when you trim your block.

Here's Maggie demonstrating how it works at our Open House last weekend.

And here's our Monday Grab and Go Coupon.
This week we are featuring the Country Comforts book.
This book is sure to give you some fabulous ideas for using all those beautiful flannels.

Here's Geri's newest favorite fabric.

It's the most exciting fabric she's had in the store for a long time.

It's flying out of the store, so come on in.

Here's a close up view of this unique fresh and unusual fabric.

We are having hourly drawings for door prizes.

We have lots of new fabric.

And we have instructors and guests galore.

Pam Raby is demonstrating the Bias Ruler - a great tool for cutting perfect bias strips.
She also has samples of what you will learn in her machine quilting class.

Maggie Hayes is demonstrating the Magic X Block tool and the brand new Bloc-Loc tool.

Candace Wilson has all kinds of handmade ceramic buttons.
What a great finishing touch for your projects.

Debbie Shaffer has amazing magnetic accent pins, heirloom quality pincushions and headbands.

2 Chicks Design has adorable felted wool patterns
for mug rugs, candle mats and table toppers.
Stop by this table for a cute make and take coffee cup holder.

Here are some of 2 Chicks Design's spring patterns.

Arlene Sachitano is signing copies of her cozy murder mysteries, including her latest book
"Quilt By Association."
We all need something fun to read when we're not quilting... right?

Tresa McConachie has some quilts that she has made using Electric Quilt 6/7 to design them.
Sign up for her class to learn how to design your own quilts using Electric Quilt software.

Grab and Go Coupon

It's Monday again, and time for our next  "Grab and Go" coupon.

We hope you liked seeing all our flannels pictured last week,
because this week we're offering 25% off all Moda flannels!!!

We also want to invite you to join our Facebook Page
where we have started
"Post and Boast"
We are having lots of fun posting photos of our 1st quilts.
The quilt at the end of the month with the most "likes"
will win a $10 gift certificate to The Pine Needle.

This fun idea is a result of a term Sandi Ray used to call "Bring and Brag."
Since not everyone can bring their quilts into the shop to brag about them,
we thought we'd start a way to "Post and Boast" about them online.

We also know that some of you don't want to be part of Facebook.
You can join the fun by emailing us a photo of your first quilt
and we will put it in our Parade of Quilts slide show here on our blog.

And just in case you haven't received yours yet... our new catalog is out!
It's filled with lots of fun classes, kits and project ideas.
Check out "What's New for Winter" for a peak inside.
