January 2014 Meeting
Announcements:
- The Mennonite church in Hubbard will be having a Quilt show the weekend of Feb. 20-22.
- Puyallup Sewing Expo is Feb. 27-Mar 2
- Pam Raby has been invited to talk about modern quilts at the May River Guild. She would like to borrow your quilts for er presentation. Please bring to store by 22nd of February.
- Bridge quilts are due June 1st. Geri is 98% sure that some of the quilts will hang at the Portland Airport for 6 months starting in Dec. (warning: they may get touched)
- The Pine Needle and Modern Domestic are organizing a bus to go to Sisters. Tickets will be $40 each. Stay tuned for more details.
- No meeting in February because of Puyallup show.
- Next meeting is March 26.
Pantone color of the year - Orchid
We watched a video on Pantone's color of the year "Radiant Orchid".
Cutting Curves
We broke into groups to watch demonstrations on two different methods for cutting curves Here's a video about using the Quick Curve Ruler.
March Challenge
Make a 12" (finished) block using the orchid fat quarter provided and some curves. Bring it to the March 26th meeting.
