Sewing borders To find the correct length for a border and to square up a quilt, measure through the center length of you quilt top. Use this measurement for the cut length of your borders. To apply the border - pin the center of the border to the center of the border edge, pin the ends and stitch the border to the quilt top edge. Continue measuring through the center of the quilt top as you stitch on each border.
